While surfing on the ASP world tour for nearly 20 years and coaching professionals, amateurs ,and beginner surfers for the whole duration, coaching surfers like Damian Hardman, Mark “Occy” Occilupo, Pam Burridge just to name a few who went on to be World Surfing Champions along with teaching complete beginners to learn to surf and progress on to be fun loving Surfers proved to me that Surf coaching was a true passion. Cheynes knowledge base comes from surfing for over 40 years, surfing on the world tour 20 years competing at the highest level of surfing with the best surfers in the world, becoming World Champion, winning tournaments in every surfing nation the world tour went to, coaching beginner to world champions for over 30 years, creating new manoeuvres such as the floater that is still used on the world tour and everyday surfing today, surfing the smallest to the biggest waves on the planet ,and also from my contemporaries who also lecture at universities on oceanography, management, sports management, worlds best coaches in all sports, doing numerous courses to fill in the blanks for example risk management, how to teach and coach , I’ve collected nearly every surfing book ever printed from journals, how to surf etc and have the most extensive library of books DVDs and videos. I have developed surf coaching techniques for all levels of surfing. I have been constantly refining surfing lessons making it easier for beginner surfers to learn to surf. Our Surf School at Legian Beach Bali offers Surf Lessons to learn to surf daily at 10am and 2 pm. The Island of Bali and the Kuta Legian Beach Surf has some of the best waves in the world .
